ArtsSmith is the culmination of decades of work in the Arts through professional practice, arts education and an emerging therapeutic practice. It brings together the elements of not only a career dedicated to the visual arts but a deep held belief in the power of the Arts to enable us to explore complex ideas and questions to better understand ourselves and our place in the evolving global culture. ArtsSmith is a place of the ever changing narratives that creative practice can enable us all to explore, express and to celebrate.
The Gallery pages will provide some insights into some of the themes and ideas I have explored over time. The Wellbeing programs will be available for booking in late 2024, either as in person or online experiences whereby resources and instructions for facilitation can be provided.
Anne Smith Bio
Anne Smith’s early studies in Visual Arts were completed at Monash University with major studies in painting and printmaking before pursuing a range of diverse visual and performative projects including collaborative exhibition work and theatrical costume design. Smith’s work in arts education has led to an ongoing commitment to providing opportunities through the arts for young people and the wider community. This commitment has been most recently enacted through work in the not for profit sector which includes research and collaboration with international museum and university partnerships to deliver high quality programs for a range of audiences.
