Flower/ Plant Studies in ink and watercolour

All 3 of these iconic Australian plants are the focus of these studies, which aim to capture the unique forms of each.  The Sturt Desert Pea is instantly recognisable for its blade-shaped flowers, each punctuated by a glossy black centre.  The protea, with its highly characteristic cone-like flower surrounded by spiky leaves, and the banksia, with its protruding seed pods, provide further examples of the diverse and enduring qualities of our native flora.
